They are calling themselves ‘ticket brokers’ We all know them as people who buy tickets to popular shows and then sit on the tickets, charging hundreds and sometimes THOUSANDS more than face value for a concert ticket.

The latest, and more dramatic example we look to is people selling the (pre-sale) tickets for Tragically Hip. Gord Downie has agreed to tour this Summer, even though he has terminal cancer (his Dr says he is as good as expected) Now some of those hip tickets are outrageously priced.

Again, this is nothing new… and I don’t think if this was a Pink Floyd show we would really care… but here we have what seems like that last time to see a dying Canadian musician and people are setting themselves up to profit more than the band for the ticket?

enough is enough. Only, how can this be stopped? So far, no viable solutions have raised up.
