Celebrating The Life of David Bowie

One of the ways we can celebrate an artist is by revisiting their music. Recently it was announced that David Bowie’s 1973 album Aladdin Sane is getting a 50th anniversary reissue. The remaster will be released on April 14th, you can pre-order it here.

 On January 10th, 2016, just two days after his 69th birthday, music and fashion icon David Bowie passed away from liver cancer. He had just released a new album, Blackstar which was recorded in secret and was to be his goodbye to fans.

Off that album, the music video for his song “Lazarus” is known to be one of the most poetic yet heartbreaking. The video is flooded with comments saying “David Bowie looked straight into the eyes of death, and used it to create his last masterpiece”.
