Speculation is mounting about the Eagles potentially securing a coveted residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Initially reported by the New York Post and fueled by insider sources, rumors suggest that the iconic rock band is set to grace the stage for a 10-week stint later this year.

While official confirmation is pending, insiders hint at an imminent announcement that could see Don Henley and the band captivating audiences at the impressive new venue from September to December. Details regarding the number of shows and terms of the deal remain undisclosed at this time.

If these whispers materialize into reality, the Las Vegas residency would extend the Eagles’ ongoing farewell tour, fittingly dubbed the ‘Long Goodbye’ tour. This tour, which commenced in September last year, is slated to continue until 2025, with the final scheduled show set for June 15 in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

For this farewell tour, Henley, alongside Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey, intend to cater to their audience’s demands by performing as many shows in each market as requested.

Regarding the rumoured residency, a spokesperson for The Sphere declined to confirm or deny the speculation, adhering to the venue’s policy of not commenting on unannounced artists.

The Sphere, a state-of-the-art venue in Nevada, recently hosted U2’s highly acclaimed residency, ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby,’ which garnered rave reviews during its 40-performance run. Phish is scheduled for a four-night engagement in April, followed by Dead & Company’s extended residency throughout May and June.

In related news, despite revenue generated by sold-out U2 shows and suite licensing, The Sphere reported a substantial loss since its opening, with analysts predicting further financial challenges in the coming quarters.
