A poll of 2,000 Americans aged 30 and up found that 43% deal with stress in unhealthy ways…like turning to food to self-soothe.

Almost half of respondents believe they will never feel stress-free again. Common stressors include health, making money, family, jobs, weight, and romantic relationships.

However, 53% believe they grew due to a stressful situation, and learned how to manage emotions, recognize triggers, and eat better.

“Stress may always be part of our life, but it doesn’t have to define our life,” Courtney McCormick of Nutrisystem said. “Recognizing what causes stress and working to overcome it is the first step toward leading a healthier lifestyle.” (swnsdigital)
