A Calgary family is pleading for the safe return of five-year-old Taliyah Leigh Marsman, as an Amber Alert for the missing girl remains in effect for a second day. Taliyah’s mother, Sara Baillie, was found dead in their apartment Monday evening.

Baillie’s uncle has made a direct plea to whoever might have the child to drop her off somewhere she’ll be safe. Scott Hamilton says his niece had been raising Taliyah single-handedly, and the two were “inseparable.”
